1. Data Controller
pdfonl9.com ("pdfonl9", "we", "us") is operated by BitLogic Dynamics LLP, a Limited Liability Partnership registered in India. BitLogic Dynamics LLP is the data controller for the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA), 2023, and all other applicable data protection legislation.
For any privacy-related inquiries, contact us at contact@bitlogicdynamics.com.
2. Your Files Stay on Your Device
pdfonl9 processes all files entirely within your web browser. Your documents are never uploaded to any server. We have no ability to access, read, or store the files you work with. This applies to all tools on the site including merge, split, compress, organize, and image conversion.
If a PDF is password-protected, you may be asked to enter the password. This password is used only locally in your browser to decrypt the file. The password is never transmitted, logged, or stored in any way — it exists only in browser memory during the operation and is discarded immediately after.
3. Personal Data We Collect
We do not require accounts, logins, email addresses, or any form of registration. No file names, file contents, or metadata from your documents are ever transmitted from your browser.
We use Google Analytics (a service provided by Google LLC) to collect anonymous usage data such as page views, tool usage, button clicks, browser type, device type, and approximate geographic location. Google Analytics uses cookies to distinguish unique users and sessions. This data helps us understand how our tools are used so we can improve them. Google Analytics may transfer data to servers in the United States. For more information, seeGoogle's Privacy Policy.
4. Cookies & Local Storage
pdfonl9 uses the following cookies and local storage:
Essential (first-party):
- Theme preference — remembers your light/dark/system choice (localStorage)
- Cookie consent — remembers that you've acknowledged the cookie notice (localStorage)
Analytics (third-party):
- Google Analytics cookies (
_ga,_ga_*) — used to distinguish unique users and sessions, track page views and interactions. These cookies are set by Google and expire after up to 2 years.
We do not use advertising cookies or cookies that build personal profiles. Google Analytics data is anonymised and used solely to improve our service. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing theGoogle Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by clearing your cookies through your browser settings.

- Pages visited and tools used
- Button clicks and feature interactions (e.g., file export, FAQ expansion)
- Browser type, device type, screen resolution, and operating system
- Approximate geographic location (country/city level, derived from IP address)
- Referral source (how you found pdfonl9)
What is NOT tracked: We never track file names, file contents, document metadata, or any data from the files you process. Your documents remain entirely private.
Google may process this data on servers in the United States. Google Analytics is subject to Google's own Privacy Policyand Data Practices. You can opt out at any time using theGoogle Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
6. Third-Party Services
No third-party services ever receive your file data. The third-party services we use are:
- Google Analytics (Google LLC) — for anonymous usage analytics as described in Section 5. Google may set cookies and receive your IP address, browser type, and page interactions. Google does not receive any of your file data.
- Cloudflare — for website hosting and delivery. Cloudflare may process standard HTTP request data (IP address, browser headers) for security and performance purposes.
- CDN providers (e.g., cdnjs.cloudflare.com) — for loading font files and JavaScript libraries. These are standard HTTP requests carrying no user-specific data beyond standard browser headers.
7. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR — EU/EEA Users)
pdfonl9 performs no server-side processing of user files. Where data processing occurs, our legal bases under GDPR are:
- Essential storage (theme preference, cookie consent) — legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). No consent is required for strictly necessary storage under the ePrivacy Directive.
- Google Analytics — consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). Analytics cookies are set when you accept cookies via our cookie consent banner. You may withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser cookies or using the Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on.
8. Your Rights Under GDPR (EU/EEA Users)
Since we collect no personal data, most data subject rights (access, rectification, erasure, portability) are not applicable — there is no personal data to access or delete. However, you have the right to:
- Withdraw consent for non-essential cookies at any time by clearing your browser's localStorage for this site
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (supervisory authority) if you believe your rights have been infringed
- Contact us with any privacy questions or requests
9. Your Rights Under DPDPA (India Users)
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to access, correct, and erase your personal data, as well as the right to nominate another individual to exercise your rights. Since we do not collect or store any personal data, these rights are inherently fulfilled. You may contact us at any time for clarification.
10. Your Rights Under CCPA (California Users)
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, request deletion of personal information, and opt out of the sale of personal information. We confirm that:
- We collect limited usage data through Google Analytics (see Section 5), which may include identifiers such as cookies and IP-derived location. We do not collect names, email addresses, or any document data.
- We do not sell personal information to third parties
- We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising
- You may opt out of analytics tracking using the Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on
11. International Data Transfers
Your files remain on your device at all times and are never transferred to any server. However, anonymous analytics data collected by Google Analytics may be processed on Google's servers in the United States. Google participates in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and applies appropriate safeguards for international data transfers. For details, seeGoogle's Data Transfer Frameworks. The Website itself is delivered via Cloudflare's global content delivery network.
12. Data Retention
No files or document data are collected or stored on our servers. Local storage items (theme preference, cookie consent) persist in your browser until you clear them. Google Analytics cookies (_ga) expire after 2 years, and session cookies (_ga_*) expire after 2 years. Analytics data retained by Google is subject toGoogle's data retention settings, which we have configured to the minimum available period.
13. Children's Privacy
Our service does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 16 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction). Since we collect no personal data from any user, no age verification is required.
14. Changes to This Policy
